Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in Plymouth. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to live independently in their own homes. You will work closely with our clients and their families to understand their needs and preferences, and provide personalized care and support to ensure their well-being and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management
- Support clients with mobility and transfer needs
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Experience working in a care setting
- Qualifications in care or a related field (e.g. NVQ Level 2 in Care)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
