About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Community Manager Intern. As a key member of our community team, you will be responsible for building and managing our online and offline community, working closely with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to build and maintain a dynamic and active community.
  • Manage community members to lead language groups and organize events, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all participants.
  • Manage the operations in our CRM platform, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of community interactions.
  • Participate in strategic meetings to discuss community growth and development.
  • Nurture the community and interact with our users through online channels, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Build relationships with community members offline, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Mobilize community members to organize community events, promoting engagement and participation.
  • Assist with offline marketing efforts, helping to promote our community and services.
  • Work with community members to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored support and solutions.
  • Assist with the onboarding process, ensuring new community members feel welcome and supported.
  • Provide customer feedback to the management team, helping to inform community development and growth strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to increase customer retention, working closely with the team to develop and implement retention strategies.

Requirements:

  • Be available to work at least 20 hours a week.
  • Minimum duration of the internship - 6 months.
  • Living in the SPEAK cities you are applying for or being able to relocate (mandatory).
  • Good English oral and written communication skills (SPEAK's team meetings are mainly held in English), local language/other languages are a plus.
  • Be proactive and have good communication skills.
  • Able to work with social media on the user level.

  • Technically savvy and intellectually curious about new technologies and how they work.
  • Team-work skills and experience to bring together diverse views and communicate/collaborate effectively.
  • Willingness to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment and disposition to take on multiple responsibilities and deadlines where prioritization is key.
  • Passionate about the three social S's: social entrepreneurship, social innovation and social impact.
  • Have a good sense of humor - and we are not even joking.
