About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Kier Group. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of projects, working closely with our operational and project delivery managers to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the operational/project delivery manager in the delivery of project needs, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Assess solutions, complete root cause analysis, and develop solutions that minimize whole life costs and business risks, while ensuring compliance with corporate governance processes, technical/safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including design, program, cost, and CDM requirements, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure all operational site Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements are met, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Support the capture of assets and costs in relevant corporate systems.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree or equivalent, along with APM Project Management (PMQ) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience in capital delivery within the water sector, with a focus on directly employed staff delivering projects.
  • Management of the Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
  • Commercial awareness, working with multiple stakeholders, and excellent knowledge and experience in customer management and external stakeholder management.
  • Full driving license.
  • Preferably NEBOSH or NEBOSH Construction certification.
