About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our Food & Beverage Team at the exclusive Stormont Hotel. As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.
  • Ensure all cash, charges, floats, and till procedures are carried out correctly.
  • Greet guests and respond to their queries.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
  • Always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
  • Be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
  • Ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene policies and procedures.
About You

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food and Beverage Team will provide you with full training. Required Criteria: Good Command of English Language, Right to Work in the United Kingdom, Must be educated to GCSE level or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths, Must have excellent communication and basic numeracy skills, Must have a professional appearance.
