About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that customers receive excellent service, and that the store is run efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets
  • Manage the store's operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and visual merchandising
  • Ensure that the store is clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
  • Monitor and control stock levels, including ordering and receiving stock
  • Manage the store's cash handling and banking procedures
  • Develop and implement plans to improve customer service and sales performance
  • Work closely with the store manager to achieve business objectives and targets
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a similar environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Basic IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
