Job Summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a forward-thinking and innovative Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Forensic Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing mental health interventions to service users within a Category B prison, operating as a therapeutic community.

Main Duties
  • Provide mental health interventions to service users within the prison establishment.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, including assessment, planning, delivery of interventions, and review of care, within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach.
  • Work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team to provide advice and support to primary health care based within the prison, and to liaise with and provide advice and support to, statutory and non-statutory agencies.
  • Support the team manager in delivering identified objectives in terms of patient care, staff, and service development.
