The Anglian Water @one Alliance is a fully collaborative entity comprising eight partner organizations (Anglian Water, SWECO, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, and Skanska) along with an extensive supply chain, executing over half of Anglian Water's capital investment initiatives.

As we prepare for our most ambitious and challenging Asset Management Period, known as AMP8, we will undertake a work program larger than any we have previously managed. This period will introduce a new approach to project delivery, emphasizing nature-based solutions such as wetlands and urban drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Solutions Coordinator:

As a member of the @one Alliance, one of the most successful and award-winning organizations in the water sector, you will engage in a diverse array of projects related to wastewater treatment, infrastructure, and water management.

Your role will involve leading the development of project solutions, innovating new methodologies that prioritize outcomes over outputs, aiming to minimize carbon footprints, enhance natural capital, address climate change, and integrate innovations and new digital technologies.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with the Portfolio Solutions Manager to identify and plan the necessary resources for project solution development and selection.
• Create Solutions Stage Project Plans, including timelines and budgets, ensuring alignment with Anglian Water's objectives. Monitor progress, identify potential changes, and assist with monthly performance evaluations.
• Oversee the collection and evaluation of data and solution alternatives to inform the Risk Opportunity and Value (ROV) process. Document reasons for rejecting solutions and ensure analytical reasoning during ROV workshops.
• Engage with @one project teams and Anglian Water to communicate progress and facilitate the acceptance of preferred solutions.
• Lead the creation of @one Solutions Stage deliverables.
• Support the review meetings for preferred solutions to assess their confidence and certainty for efficient delivery in subsequent phases.
• Assist in stakeholder engagement and escalation within Anglian Water as necessary.

Developing Solutions:

• Understand individual project outcomes and collaborate with @one subject matter experts to conduct root cause analyses, investigations, and data assessments.
• Evaluate the value and impact of acquiring additional data if gaps or deficiencies are identified.
• Coordinate engagement from @one project delivery teams to formulate viable solution options that meet project outcomes and business objectives.
• Ensure that solution options consider affordability, design, planning, sustainability, construction, enabling factors, procurement, and operations.
• Assist @one project delivery teams in evaluating the certainty and confidence of preferred solutions.

Health & Safety:

• Support the Technical Manager in producing initial design risk assessments in accordance with Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations.

People/Team Development:

• Foster a positive and fulfilling work environment that values diversity and inclusion.
• Build strong working relationships with @one project delivery teams and Anglian Water ADP.

Transformation:

• Continuously seek to innovate and enhance performance.
• Identify methods to reduce carbon emissions and enhance natural capital within solutions.
• Support ongoing improvements in the solutions process and team dynamics.
• Integrate innovations and lessons learned to achieve efficiencies.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess a degree in an engineering discipline and ideally have experience with water-sector assets and capital project delivery. Experience in a Design and Build environment is advantageous. You should demonstrate compliance with business ethics, foster collaboration, and support the development of skills within your team.

You will be a natural leader, providing guidance for the team, and confidently managing activities to achieve efficient outputs while ensuring adherence to quality procedures and mitigating risks as necessary. You will appreciate the challenge of contributing to commercial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
