Fostering Positive Relationships:

Implementing Behavioural Support Strategies:

In this role, you will help in executing behavioural strategies as outlined in individual support plans. Students with special needs often require additional emotional guidance, and support assistants should be compassionate listeners, providing the necessary encouragement to help them navigate their challenges.


Promoting Inclusion:

Support assistants play a vital role in fostering inclusion by encouraging student participation. You may work alongside educators to adapt activities and assignments, ensuring that all students have equal access to learning opportunities.


Previous experience in an educational environment or in a care role supporting individuals with learning disabilities is beneficial.


Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in education or special needs support are advantageous but not mandatory.
