Job Title: Legal Competence Specialist at Kennedys

Kennedys, a global law firm specializing in dispute resolution and advisory services, is seeking a Legal Competence Specialist to join its Knowledge Management Team. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Legal Competence Manager in developing and delivering training solutions for Kennedys' UK-based lawyers. Responsibilities include working with various practice area teams, managing projects, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and promoting the Legal Competence Team across the firm. This role will also involve contributing to the development of training best practices in Kennedys' international offices.

Team

The Legal Competence Specialist will be part of Kennedys' Knowledge Management team, working alongside Knowledge Lawyers, Library & Information Professionals, and the Senior Legal Competence Manager. The team collaborates to provide knowledge, information, and training services to support the firm's lawyers globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Legal Competence Manager in creating and delivering training programs
  • Act as project manager for training initiatives
  • Coordinate stakeholders and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Monitor legal developments to tailor training programs
  • Collaborate with external training providers
  • Host training sessions and liaise with business services teams
  • Contribute to Knowledge Management projects
  • Stay up-to-date with Continuing Competence requirements

Required Experience

  • Project management experience within the legal services industry
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with external providers and managing relationships
  • Ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization
  • IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in Learning & Development at a professional services provider
