We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Tutor to join our team at Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Thameside. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to learners, supporting them to unlock their full potential and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective education programs that meet contractual requirements and standards.
  • Support learners and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for all.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale.
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Track record of effective teaching in subject specialism.
