Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Custody Assistance Specialist to become a vital part of our CFO Evolution Team.

Your role will involve managing a caseload of individuals within a correctional environment, beginning with initial engagement and assessment.

Participants will receive motivational guidance and support to maintain their involvement throughout their sentence. You will facilitate both group sessions and individual interventions aimed at helping participants overcome challenges and successfully reintegrate into their communities. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in pre-release preparations to ensure a smooth transition back into society.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in probation, social care, or the criminal justice field. However, we recognize that not every applicant will meet all criteria, so we are looking for someone who is confident and comfortable working with a diverse population, capable of coaching and mentoring individuals from various backgrounds and situations.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: £24,650 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve individual performance targets and contribute to team goals in alignment with contractual obligations.

• Collaborate closely with volunteer peer mentors and/or mentors to effectively manage your caseload and connect participants with essential resources for housing, substance use, and mental and physical health support.

• Foster a learning environment where all colleagues can enhance their skills and share best practices.

• Ensure effective case management and risk coordination, focusing on safeguarding both adults and children. This includes promptly notifying the Probation Service of any changes in individual risk and adhering to established systems, policies, and procedures.

• Meet all contractual performance targets.

Required Skills and Experience

• IAG Level 3 certification is desirable.

• Experience in managing a caseload of participants is preferred.

• Proficient in electronic data management and maintaining accurate computer-based information systems in a target-driven environment.

• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels and in various settings.

• Capability to motivate and sustain the engagement of individuals.
