Domestic Electrical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Electrical Specialist to join our team at Wessex Electricals. As a Domestic Electrical Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of electrical tasks including test and inspections, upgrading heating systems, consumer unit replacements, and rewires of domestic premises.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out electrical test and inspections to ensure safety and efficiency
- Upgrading heating systems to improve energy efficiency and comfort
- Replacing consumer units to ensure safe and reliable electrical supply
- Rewiring domestic premises to meet modern electrical standards
- Providing reactive maintenance works to resolve electrical issues
- Assisting with kitchen and bathroom upgrades to include electrical installations

- Salary up to £42,000 p/a - based on approved rate, 45 hours a week & call out (1 in 12)

Basic Competencies:
- Experience working as a fully qualified trades person.
- Experience working in occupied and unoccupied properties.
- Experience working in housing sector
- Understanding of Testing and inspection.
- A knowledge and understanding of health & safety regulations.
- An understanding of the principles of good customer care.
- The ability to plan and organise your own work.
- The ability to attend and deal with out of hours emergencies.
Essential Competencies:
A Fully qualified Electrician accredited with the following (or equivalent):
- A completed apprenticeship
- City & Guilds 236 (part 1 and 2)
- A valid driving licence and the ability to drive a company van and comply with the requirements of the company insurers.
- A knowledge and understanding of health & safety regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391 (inspection & testing)
- ECS Gold Card
Desirable Competencies:
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)
- Experience of using mobile working devices (PDA's & mobiles)
