About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our Data Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business and improving the way we derive insights and evidence to reduce drowning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Business Intelligence solutions utilizing Azure Databricks and the Microsoft BI stack in line with best practices.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and deliver high-quality BI solutions that meet the data needs of our internal customers.
  • Work closely with our Data Engineering team and systems experts to ensure data is consumed from source systems in the right way, then transformed and modeled for use across the organisation.
Requirements
  • Strong self-motivation and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Strong technical expertise in data modeling, with a strong understanding of data warehousing practices and experience of creating robust data warehouse models to meet complex reporting and analytical needs.
  • Vast experience implementing performant and efficient SQL solutions, with a full understanding of Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and other objects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft BI stack, including Power BI, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Strong understanding of the ETL process, with an understanding of how data should be consumed and structured throughout each level of ingestion and transformation to a presentation layer to deliver business intelligence reporting.
