About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Data Department on a hybrid contract basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business and improving the way we derive insights and evidence to reduce drowning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Business Intelligence solutions utilizing Azure Databricks and the Microsoft BI stack, ensuring alignment with best practices and meeting the data requirements of our internal customers.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver high-quality BI solutions that meet their expectations.
Requirements
  • Strong self-motivation and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively as a team member.
  • Technical expertise in data modelling, with a strong understanding of data warehousing practices and experience in creating robust data warehouse models.
  • Vast experience in implementing performant and efficient SQL solutions, with a full understanding of Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and other objects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft BI stack, including Power BI, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Strong understanding of the ETL process, with experience in data lineage testing to ensure data quality throughout the ETL process.
  • An understanding of Data Lake / Data Lakehouse best practices.
  • A large appetite for learning and a willingness to share experience with the team and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
