As a Business Process Optimization Specialist within the International Consumer Bank, you will leverage your expertise as a seasoned Business Process Analyst. Your enthusiasm for crafting new business processes will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience for our newly launched digital retail bank. Your extensive background in retail banking areas such as products, customer service, fraud prevention, and financial crime will be essential in ensuring we meet our customers' needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive design of business processes, providing actionable recommendations and overseeing implementation using industry-standard methodologies (BPMN/BPA).
  • Collaborate with various internal teams and stakeholders to establish a clear action plan, implementation strategy, and tracking mechanisms to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote a culture of productivity across all Operations teams.
  • Coordinate project activities among different client service and operations groups, technology teams, and cross-functional departments such as compliance and legal.
  • Monitor project statuses, identify risks, escalate issues as necessary, and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in UK Retail Banking functions, particularly within digital banking channels (Onboarding, Payments, Lending, Fraud, Financial Crime, Servicing, Treasury).
  • Proficient in business process management, including analyzing current processes, mapping workflows, recommending enhancements, and implementing improvements using established practices and tools.
  • Experience in transformation initiatives across various implementation environments (process reengineering, greenfield projects, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Consulting experience in a related industry from a reputable firm is a plus.
  • Must possess the following skills:
Essential Qualifications
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
  • Strong understanding of business process design fundamentals and process modeling using BPMN.
  • Familiarity with BPMN-based business process analysis tools (e.g., Signavio, ARIS).
  • 5+ years of substantial experience in one or more retail banking domains (e.g., retail banking products, payments, customer service, fraud, financial crime), with a preference for Fraud.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adept at identifying inefficiencies in business processes and capable of mapping detailed workflows; able to apply diverse project experiences to new challenges.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Flexible and adaptable, serving as a change agent.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to foster effective partnerships across teams to achieve results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the UK retail banking landscape, products, and regulations.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Consulting experience with exposure to large-scale transformation projects within retail banking.
  • Key deliverables in the first year include the successful delivery of assigned process journey designs and change tickets.
