Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project controls processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain project controls processes, including cost and schedule management, risk assessment, and change management.
  • Lead the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with remote teams to establish a cost baseline and ensure clients receive value for money.
  • Guide and influence general contractors to ensure they are progressing in line with the schedule and within agreed cash flow parameters.
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Create and maintain cost reports, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
  • Understand change management principles and lead agreed change management processes and workflows.
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile master project/programme schedules, agreeing baselines and critical paths.
  • Participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to output quantitative impacts on project cost and schedule.
  • Work closely with project teams to stay informed on project changes, incorporating and communicating these to the project team to allow for approvals in the change management process.
  • Hold vendors accountable for required schedule updates and reporting to maintain timely and accurate updates of the master schedule.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project controls coordination in all phases of the project lifecycle, including program, risk, and reporting.
  • Specialist experience in life sciences or data centre sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, and critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
