Position Overview

Our focus is on leveraging financial expertise to ensure optimal value for money within our available resources. As a Lead Financial Strategist, you will guarantee that we maintain strong financial controls throughout the organization, a uniform framework for decision-making, and provide essential advice and guidance.

Following our achievement of the Future Focused Finance (FFF) Level 1 Accreditation, we prioritize personal and departmental development to uphold the highest standards of financial support for the ICB and the patients of our commissioned services.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic new position, you will have the freedom to utilize your initiative to enhance financial controls, formulate financial governance policies, execute audit recommendations, and lead the execution of significant financial projects.

This role will oversee the Financial Control team, managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury Management, and ensuring the integrity of the ICB's ledger. You will have numerous opportunities to manage projects, including leading the preparation of the Annual Accounts and Inter-NHS balances.
