Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Investment Strategist to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industries who are looking to transition into the venture capital arena.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluating investment proposals from fund managers, including comprehensive analysis of company trajectories and product pipelines.
  2. Formulating investment strategies and forecasts to create detailed investment documentation.
  3. Collaborating with internal teams and external consultants, including key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  4. Overseeing a diverse portfolio of biopharmaceutical fund investments.
  5. Conducting thorough research to support investment proposals within the pharmaceutical domain.
  6. Generating reports and conducting analyses related to investments and fund performance.
Candidate Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as a Senior Manager with at least 10 years in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical field.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape in the UK and EU.
  3. Deep understanding of drug development processes and market launches.
  4. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and reimbursement mechanisms.
  5. Strong grasp of financial metrics and strategic business planning within pharmaceutical companies.
  6. Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) or equivalent scientific background.
Compensation Package

The role offers a competitive base salary of up to £185,000 per annum (dependent on experience), along with a 25% performance bonus, stock options, life insurance, car allowance, and pension contributions.
