Maintenance Engineer Job Description

At United Parcel Service of America, Inc, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining maintenance activities at our package handling facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment, including conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.
  • Respond to facility alarms and emergencies.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise within the sortation system and facility.

Requirements:

  • Industry recognized qualifications in engineering preferred.
  • Electrical experience preferred.
  • Preferred programming experience, including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation, including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams.
  • Clean UK driving license.
