Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as a Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive screening and triage services to children and young people with complex needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and effective triage of referrals, adhering to service specifications, pathways, and protocols.
- Be the first clinical point of contact for referrers and families, utilizing effective communication skills to assess risk and priority.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate information is gathered to direct referrals to the most suitable pathway.
- Undertake priority assessments to determine the needs of children and young people, including safety for return to their home.

Person Specification:
- Significant experience of risk assessment in a mental health or learning disability setting.
- Comprehensive assessment skills.
- Experience working with people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder.
- Relevant qualifications and registration with the relevant registration body.
