We are seeking a highly skilled PDI Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team at Stephen James (Automotive) Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and safety before they are handed over to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of all new and used vehicles to identify any defects or issues that need to be addressed.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including brake pad replacements, servicing, programming, and fitting of accessories.
- Reporting and Documentation: Accurately document all work performed on each vehicle, including any defects or issues identified during inspections.
- Road Testing: Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
- Qualifications: IMI Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance qualification or equivalent, and IMI Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance qualification at Level 2 or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience working at a main dealer manufacturer or national or independent service/repair retailers, preferably with BMW or MINI expertise.
- Driving Licence: Valid, clean manual UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
