**Trainee Customer Advisor and Estimator (Bodyshop)**

Stephen James Enfield has a unique opportunity for a Trainee Customer Advisor and Estimator to work alongside our experienced Bodyshop Estimator/VDA in our Accident Repair Centre. **Your role**

As a Trainee Customer Advisor and Estimator looking after customer vehicles requiring accident repair work, you will work alongside the qualified Bodyshop Estimator, liaising with insurance companies, providing hands on support, whilst learning all aspects of the role including, inspecting vehicles, estimating repair work, selling bodyshop time, products, and services.

**The main duties of the role include**:

- Working face-to-face with customers within the Bodyshop
- Handling calls to the Retailer, including booking and scheduling vehicle repairs.
- Estimating time and costs associated with vehicle and repairs.
- Handling and responding to customer enquiries and complaints.
- Being involved with interpreting initial customer concerns and liaising with the Bodyshop technicians
- Photograph and record a list of damages to the customers’ vehicles.
- Liaising with customers and keeping them updated of any additional work that may be required.
- Tracking customer vehicles through the workshop during Bodyshop repair

**Your profile**:

- Enjoys being in front of customers building trust and relationships whilst giving advice and problem solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong IT /Microsoft skills
- Strong administration, with a process orientated approach, and following up within agreed timeframes.
- Must have a keen interest and enthusiasm for developing a career in the automotive industry, particularly in accident and repair.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and have a valid clean UK Driving Licence for a minimum of 1 year.

**Salary and Hours**

Paid at National Minimum Wage guide (ANMW): 23yrs and over is £10.42ph, 21yrs to 22yrs is £10.18ph 18yrs to 20yrs is £7.49ph, under 18yrs is £5.28ph

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm (45 hours per week)

**Future career prospects**

During the time spent at Stephen James BMW Bodyshop, a senior mentor will be allocated to oversee your internal training plan. In addition, you will have the opportunity to receive your Audatex estimating qualification and in your third year become a fully qualified Estimator by taking the IMI route to the Vehicle Damage Assessor accreditation.
During your trainee period you will develop your knowledge and skills to progress to a Bodyshop Estimator (Vehicle Damage Assessor) this will be reviewed annually along with your salary after the first year. Expected training duration is 2- 3 years.
