About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to manage a specialist caseload, using evidence-based practice and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in both hospital and community settings.

The successful candidate will provide specialist advice to Occupational Therapy staff and other disciplines/agencies, developing specialist clinical skills and leading clinical audits.

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
  • Postgraduate expertise within speciality/area of practice, demonstrating the required breadth of knowledge to lead safely, effectively, and efficiently
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice
  • Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery
  • Excellent team-working/leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
  • Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Practice education training and experience within the specific care group/speciality
  • Evidence of audit, critical appraisal, reflective practice, and/or research skills
  • Sound knowledge of multi-disciplinary and inter-agency team working practices

Contract Type and Location

This is a permanent, part-time position, working 18.6 hours per week.

The role will be based in the Rehabilitation Team within Airdrie Community Health Clinic.
