Senior Mental Health Professional

We are pleased to welcome applications for a part-time Principal Clinical Psychologist position in our Adult Inpatient Services. This role offers the opportunity to lead an established inpatient psychology team, providing an excellent psychological service to adult inpatient wards and a psychiatric intensive care unit.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the inpatient psychology team and develop psychological formulations in collaboration with clinical teams.
- Conduct complex assessments and provide short-term therapeutic interventions.
- Teach and train non-psychology staff on psychological principles and practices.
- Supervise and line-manage junior psychology staff.
- Work with senior managers to develop psychologically informed models of care.
- Post-graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology, or equivalent.
- Completion of further post-qualification training in psychological therapies.
- Substantial post-qualification experience of working with a wide range of client groups and presenting with complex clinical severity.
- Experience of providing supervision and training to psychologists and other health professionals.
- Experience of clinical leadership and heading a service, representing the service at a senior level.
