Surveying Project Leader

We are seeking a Surveying Project Leader to oversee our sustainability initiative within the Assets division. This role is a full-time, temporary position for a duration of 3 years, encompassing 36 hours per week and is exclusively available for current Hafod employees.
With a portfolio of over 4000 residences and care facilities throughout south Wales, our team's mission is to ensure that our properties are well-maintained while progressing towards our sustainability and energy efficiency objectives.
We support a hybrid working model. If selected, you will work remotely and manage projects on-site, fostering a collaborative work environment and building strong relationships with our contractors and tenants. You will have the flexibility to organize your schedule to best suit your personal circumstances. A valid driving licence and personal vehicle are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a crucial part in steering the organization towards the Welsh Government's sustainability targets aimed at reducing emissions. You will be instrumental in executing the ORP programme and will engage in various projects that enhance the organization, benefit the communities we serve, and provide diversity in your role.
You will assist in managing the data within our asset management system, which will be utilized to optimize long-term planning and financial viability models for our stock, ensuring value for money while delivering our services.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess experience in engaging and managing contracts and contractors, supported by strong technical expertise in maintenance and repairs, alongside a solid understanding of Wales' sustainability strategy. You should be confident in conducting Stock Condition/WHQS surveys.
Ideally, you will hold a construction or surveying qualification or have relevant work experience, along with current knowledge of construction and building regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, will be advantageous in this role.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are mandatory for this position.
