About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Surgical Ward Manager. As a key member of the ward nursing team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to junior staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the ward's clinical strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, ensuring that care is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff, promoting a culture of learning and development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ward policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Professional registration with the NMC.
  • Degree or diploma in nursing.
  • Experience of working in a surgical ward environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and provide leadership and guidance to junior staff.
