Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Critical Services Technician (Day Shift) to support the operations at a significant financial institution's state-of-the-art headquarters in central London.
Role Responsibilities:
- Participate in training and familiarize yourself with building systems as part of the project's Soft Landings activities.
- Adhere to Health and Safety protocols in the workplace.
- Maintain systems and assets in a data-driven environment, utilizing innovative digital tools and platforms (training will be provided). Embrace new technologies and methodologies.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the building's layout, functions, and complexities through scenario drills, continuous assessments, and personal development.
- Coordinate with client representatives regarding corrective maintenance tasks.
- Conduct in-house training as necessary.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance service delivery and contract performance.
- Document maintenance activities as required.
- Assist Engineers in diagnosing faults, identifying root causes, and preparing accurate reports on equipment failures.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager or Shift Leader.
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and processes.
- Utilize PDAs to raise and close maintenance jobs as needed.
- Contribute positively to team efforts and elevate service standards.
- Ensure compliance with safe working practices and quality standards.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports as needed.
- Investigate faults and implement effective remedies.
- Supervise contractors and suppliers working under permits.
- Maintain cleanliness in plant rooms.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to Health and Safety, with the confidence to address unsafe conditions.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to new tools and techniques.
- Ability to follow established procedures meticulously.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent.
- ACoPs L8 certification (desirable).
- IOSH qualification (desirable).
- 18th Edition certification (desirable).
- A willingness to pursue an engineering qualification (desirable).
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Able to work at heights.
- Strong customer relationship skills.
- Experience in a similar environment is advantageous.
- Understanding of Health and Safety implications in a live environment.
- Familiarity with the facilities management industry and primary M&E services (desirable).
- Customer service experience with effective communication at all levels.
- Relevant experience in a similar role (desirable).
