About the Role

We are a well-established and respected UK-based business services company, providing cleaning, security, and facilities management solutions. As a result of our continued growth, we need a pricing expert to support our Commercial, Sales, and Operations teams in the financial aspects of proposals, tenders, and retenders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to gather necessary data to complete pricing documentation for new business and retenders.
  • Use scenario modelling and risk analysis to ensure cost competitiveness of each costing solution through benchmarking and analysis.
  • Support data capturing development, cost reduction, and improvement activities.
  • Ensure all financial information in proposals is accurate, well-presented, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of completed tenders and proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial and pricing activities.
  • Utilize data to affect change and impact our service offering.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Assist in writing and reviewing tender documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
Requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Understanding of how to estimate pricing from varying data.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including writing in Python, Java, or similar scripting languages.
  • Understanding of developing cost estimates that take account of productivities, labor resources, equipment, supply chain, overheads, profit, and historical costs.
  • Experience with tender writing.
