Position Overview

Brownlee Cale is seeking skilled Engineers to join our team at a Food Production Facility. This is a permanent role that involves working on a rotating schedule, alternating weeks, from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering repairs, as well as corrective and planned preventative maintenance throughout the facility, collaborating with the engineering team.
  • Independently manage your workload, ensuring tasks are completed to the required standards and that any outstanding work is handed over to the subsequent shift.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations in all tasks performed.
  • Oversee the Health and Safety of external contractors on-site when necessary, ensuring cleanliness and organization upon project completion.
  • Control and manage the procurement and inventory of engineering spare parts to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Uphold high standards of housekeeping across all engineering areas.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of management and departments regarding engineering activities and any breakdowns.
Qualifications

Essential:
Completion of a four-year accredited technical training program with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification in mechanical/electrical repair and maintenance, along with two years of relevant electrical/mechanical experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities, including third and fourth-year apprenticeships.

Desirable:
Experience in a food manufacturing setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
