The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Social Media Brand Manager to join our Marketing team. This role will work closely with the Social Media Brand Manager to develop and execute a local social media strategy, channels, and content that drive reach, engagement, and community growth in line with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage our Instagram and TikTok owned social platforms across our portfolio of brands, devising the right content plans and their deployment with our agency partners to drive reach, engagement & community growth in line with our business goals.
- Develop and manage best-in-class content calendars, aligning frequency & content optimization to the latest algorithm updates, ensuring the channel is always performing optimally.
- Create and edit compelling static and motion social content.
- Conduct live coverages for events, capturing behind-the-scenes content, conducting interviews, and posting reactive updates.
- Work closely with the internal teams, educators, agencies, and external creators to brief, create and execute while tailoring the content calendar and optimising EMV, SOV, ER, reach, engagement & follower growth.
- Ensure best-in-class community management of all platforms is delivered by our agencies so that our social channels act as a community not only a broadcast media channel.
- Deliver detailed reports on key social activities (e.g. campaigns, collaborations, content pillars, giveaways, etc.). Present key learnings and actionable insights from social media performance data. Proactively suggest creative content recommendations, collaborations, and shoots based on data analysis and previous social results.
- Ensure all of our owned and earned plans harmonise and maximise the paid social activation plans as part of the wider media strategy run by the brand managers.
- Ideate, brief and implement social content to support our brand and customer calendars – aligned with business priorities.
- Bring a competitive & trend led view to how we develop and deliver our social content and community plans to ensure we are always ahead of the game & a beauty social leader.
- Think in a 360 way and leverage UGC, EGC, Pro influencer, EC Influencer, and Passionistas in an omni-channel manner.
- Manage budgets efficiently in alignment with Brand Teams.
Qualifications
Essential:
- 3+ years experience of working in a social marketing role in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable examples of successfully managing a range of social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Workplace, YouTube...) and growing audiences & engagement on behalf of a brand or company.
- Demonstrate examples of best-in-class content creation. Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools such as Adobe Suite, Canva, and native editing tools for social platforms.
- Able to provide art direction for social media shoots, working closely with videographers, models, and other professionals to achieve high-quality content.
- Able to create detailed briefs for external creators to ensure social media deliverables meet brand standards and campaign objectives.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills to manage multiple stakeholders and team alignments.
- Proven ability to plan and execute content calendars and campaigns efficiently.
- Proven ability to drive new ideas and plans through to completion.
- Able to spot and switch on trends.
- Creative and innovative thinker; brings the outside in and challenges the status quo.
- Analytical and data driven; uses data insights to constantly improve and raise the bar. Proficient with Excel and Social Insights platforms (preferably Sprinklr and Tribe Dynamics) to track and report on social media KPIs.
- Experience of successfully delivering projects within cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience managing an agency essential.
Desirable:
- A post-grad qualification in Digital Marketing would be a plus.
- Beauty experience preferred.
- Develop and execute social media strategies tailored for both B2B and B2C audiences, with a preference for experience in the Pro beauty industry.
