Critical Care Nurse

The Interior Health Authority's HART program is a pioneering initiative that provides mobile critical care services to patients in rural areas. Our mission is to deliver high-quality care to those who need it most, working in collaboration with local clinicians to stabilize patients and transport them to higher levels of care when necessary.
As a Critical Care Nurse with our team, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment, working closely with a Critical Care RN and Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. You will also have the opportunity to work with Basic Life Support paramedics and an on-call transport physician to ensure seamless patient care.
When not on transport, you will be actively supporting patient care at your base hospital, working in a team environment to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients. This is a Casual Opportunity, which means you will have the flexibility to self-schedule your shifts, with the understanding that hours are not guaranteed and may vary. However, this also means you will have the opportunity to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions, and potentially move into regular employment.
Shifts will be scheduled days and nights, rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours. You will be based in Cranbrook, a beautiful city in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, surrounded by scenic mountain vistas and offering a range of outdoor recreational opportunities. The city has a strong economy driven by mining, forestry, transportation, and tourism, making it an ideal location to raise a family or retire.
