Position Overview:
The Technical Author will play a crucial role in the documentation of automotive functional safety deliverables and methodologies, working closely with the Functional Safety team. This position encompasses the management of documentation strategies, oversight of production and testing documents, and adherence to safety regulations, notably ISO26262.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project documentation from initial concept to product launch.
- Ensure thorough trackability and traceability of all documentation.
- Create safety manuals, technical datasheets, and project documentation templates.
- Evaluate safety documentation against established safety criteria.
- Assist Functional Safety Managers in fulfilling safety documentation obligations.
- Oversee documentation deviations and promote ongoing enhancements in documentation practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical writing within the automotive sector or similar fields.
- Proven experience in product development and the creation of related documentation.
