Principal Automotive Functional Safety Engineer

The Principal Automotive Functional Safety Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our automotive products. This role requires a deep understanding of functional safety standards, such as ISO 26262, and the ability to apply this knowledge to complex systems and architectures.
Responsibilities- Analyze systems and components to ensure compliance with stringent safety requirements.
- Conduct safety and failure analysis, documenting outcomes and recommending requirements based on results.
- Develop and implement safety mechanisms, including control diagrams and safe state machines.
- Guide reliability studies for hardware and software components.
- Support customer reviews with functional safety input and provide inputs for confirmation measures.
- Drive technical impact analyses for safety anomalies and conduct technical confirmation measure reviews.
- Minimum MSc degree in electrical/electronics, automotive, or relevant field.
- 12+ years of professional experience in automotive systems and components, with a strong understanding of communication, control, and processing sub-systems.
- Profound knowledge of hardware safety standards, such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
- Expert Functional Safety Practitioner certification and executive knowledge of Quality, ISO26262, and Deviation management.
