Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support to a child with special educational needs in a residential setting based in Bradford.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the student to enhance their academic, social, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with a specialist tutor to implement the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and ensure tailored support.
  • Help manage the child's behavior in line with their requirements and triggers.
  • Support the child in their learning activities and daily routine.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with special needs is essential.
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach is required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to the child's specific learning and emotional needs.
Working Hours:
  • 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
  • Flexible hours depending on the school schedule.
