Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced District Nurse to join our team. This role focuses on administering immunisations and vaccinations to adults within the current caseload, ensuring adherence to established protocols.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within the community setting. Your expertise and clinical skills will be instrumental in promoting public health and safeguarding the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer immunisations and vaccinations to adults according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of immunisation administration and patient information.
  • Stay up-to-date on current best practices and recommendations for immunisation delivery.
Requirements Education & Qualifications
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a degree qualification.
  • Post-registration qualification relevant to district nursing (DNSPQ or equivalent: Community Nursing Degree/ comprehensive community nursing CPD).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Practice Assessor/ Supervisor
Experience
  • Proven experience in a variety of healthcare settings, including acute and community care.
  • Multidisciplinary working experience.
  • Management experience.
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet service needs.
Knowledge & Understanding
  • Understanding of national government initiatives in health and social care and their impact on local services.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and accountability for own work, defining the responsibilities of others.
  • Empathy and active listening skills to understand patient concerns and provide compassionate care.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel within the designated work area.
  • Ability to safely manoeuvre patients using appropriate techniques in accordance with care plans.
