About the Role

Rivendell Children's Service is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intensive Support Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with our team to provide individualized support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each individual.
  • Support children and young people in their daily lives, including cooking, personal care, and promoting healthy habits.
  • Respond effectively to challenging behaviors and emergency situations, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all individuals.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Essential qualifications include an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) and HNC.
  • Experience working with children and families in a similar setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and reliability are essential, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • A driver with access to their own transport is desirable, due to the rural location of the service.
