Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intensive Support Practitioner to join our team at Quarriers Village. As a key member of our childcare team, you will provide high-quality support to children and young people with complex needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with children, families, and colleagues to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as cooking, personal care, and health and wellbeing activities.
  • Respond to and manage challenging behaviors, using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) and HNC.
  • Experience working with children and families in a similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing situations.
  • Driver's license and access to a vehicle (desirable).
