Compliance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our team at Drax Group. As a key member of our Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of consistent advice, guidance, and training in relation to wholesale energy.
Your primary responsibilities will include supporting our Trading and Generation teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing and implementing effective compliance strategies. You will also be responsible for interacting with senior stakeholders across the business, influencing decision-making, and coaching other members of the team.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of wholesale physical and financial markets, as well as energy market regulatory frameworks. You will also need to have significant experience working with commercial teams, preferably in the energy or financial services industries.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Trading and Generation teams in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement effective compliance strategies
- Interact with senior stakeholders across the business, influencing decision-making
- Coach other members of the team
- Update policies and procedures, and develop monitoring/surveillance techniques
- Education to degree level
- Strong understanding of wholesale physical and financial markets
- Experience working with commercial teams, preferably in the energy or financial services industries
- Significant experience in compliance, preferably in the energy or financial services industries
- A discretionary bonus between 15% – 30% depending on company performance
