About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Test Technician to join our team at Mirus Aircraft Seating. As a key member of our MTEST facility, you will play a crucial role in certifying products for airworthiness and supporting the execution of dynamic, static, and life cycle tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and execute test setups in accordance with test procedures.
  • Support dynamic development and certification testing in accordance with customer test procedures and international regulations.
  • Configure high-speed cameras for test filming to customer requirements.
  • Set up computer-controlled data acquisition systems.
  • Manufacture and maintain test fixtures and equipment as necessary.
  • Carry out development and certification static tests to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the maintenance of static test and life cycle areas and equipment.
  • Review and update risk assessments for the dynamic test facility.
  • Support dynamic sled maintenance in line with engineer instructions.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping and create a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
  • Previous Mechanical or Electrical Technician/Engineering experience.
  • Strong mechanical fitting skills.
  • Electrical/electronic skills.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Desirable
  • HNC/HND in Engineering.
  • Experience in a testing environment.
  • Photographic experience.
  • Data collection experience.
  • Knowledge of photography, high-speed data, and video capture.
