Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at the House of Lords as a Strategic Systems Implementation Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the implementation of a new system (iTrent) and work closely with our colleagues in HR and Finance to ensure its successful deployment.

As a key member of our Employee Experience and Reward team, you will be responsible for overseeing the HR and Payroll Systems Programme, providing strategic leadership and guidance to ensure the successful implementation of the system. You will work closely with our colleagues in HR and Finance to ensure that the system meets the requirements of the House of Lords, while also delivering benefits to our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the HR and Payroll Systems Programme.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan to ensure the successful implementation of the system.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Programme Management
    • Oversee the HR and Payroll Systems Programme, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
    • Manage and coordinate the work of programme team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
    • Identify and mitigate programme risks, ensuring the successful delivery of the system.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including HR and Finance colleagues, programme team members, and external partners.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of project requirements and progress.
    • Identify and address stakeholder concerns, ensuring the successful delivery of the system.
  • System Implementation
    • Work closely with the implementation partner to ensure the system meets the requirements of the House of Lords.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize system requirements.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive testing and quality assurance plan to ensure the successful deployment of the system.

Requirements

  • Project Management
    • Experience of working within a project environment and managing large-scale projects.
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Planning and Organising
    • Proven experience of setting, monitoring, and meeting deadlines.
    • Ability to prioritize between multiple, sometimes conflicting requirements.
  • Communication Skills
    • Experience of communicating complex, technical information to a range of audiences.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including HR and Finance colleagues, programme team members, and external partners.
  • Process Improvement
    • Experience of identifying opportunities to improve processes within an HR or comparable operational environment.
    • Ability to monitor changes to establish effectiveness.
