Senior Lawyer - Childcare

Sellick Partnership is recruiting for a Senior Lawyer to join an excellent Local Authority in Merseyside, to work in their Safeguarding and Education team, focusing on Childcare. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and experienced solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive to enhance its busy but friendly in-house Safeguarding team.

About the Role:

The Senior Lawyer will have extensive experience in dealing with a wide range of Childcare Law matters. This includes handling a caseload of complex cases, and advice which will include matters such as:

  • Representing the local authority in relation to childcare matters, including at meetings and court
  • Workload will consist of pre-proceeding and care cases
  • Undertaking all necessary preparation of cases
  • Taking part in duty rota

Key Attributes:

Local government legal work is varied and whilst at times it can be challenging, it is also very rewarding.
