Position Overview:

Torque Consulting is in search of a skilled Safety and Compliance Manager who is dedicated to fostering a secure work environment within the hospitality industry. This role involves overseeing and enhancing health and safety measures across various operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, execute, and assess health and safety strategies across the organization’s multiple depots.
  • Perform regular site evaluations and risk assessments to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Deliver training and guidance to staff regarding health and safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Examine and document incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing necessary corrective measures to avert future issues.
  • Collaborate with leadership to cultivate a safety-first culture and promote ongoing improvements.
  • Remain informed about current health and safety legislation and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Safety and Compliance Manager, ideally within the hospitality or leisure equipment sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management principles.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • NEBOSH certification or an equivalent qualification is highly preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and readiness to travel to various operational sites.
