Senior Land Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Land Manager to join our team at Vistry Group. As a Senior Land Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing land opportunities, instructing consultants and development teams, and negotiating legal agreements with Vistry lawyers and third parties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing land opportunities and instructing consultants and development teams
  • Negotiating legal agreements with Vistry lawyers and third parties
  • Procuring technical, legal, and development information to instruct internal and external parties
  • Identifying suitable land opportunities on and off market for immediate opportunities and longer-term land with planning potential
Requirements:
  • Minimum of Degree standard or suitable alternative experience
  • Computer literate and able to use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to a good standard
  • Highly literate and able to understand and interpret complex legal documentation
  • Highly numerate with the ability to undertake residual valuations for land appraisals and comparable sales valuations
  • Proven track record of buying land
  • Good understanding of legal obligations
  • Proven list of contacts in the area
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of planning authorities
  • Strong mathematic and IT ability
  • Ability to assess and analyze information
  • In-depth understanding of budget management
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills
  • Pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Methodical approach to working practices
Desirable:
  • Identify suitable land opportunities on and off market for immediate opportunities and longer-term land with planning potential
  • Negotiate legal agreements with Vistry lawyers and third parties
