Position Overview

This position is focused on providing engineering support for the manufacturing processes at the Energizer facility. You will collaborate closely with the Engineering and Maintenance leader, Production Supervisors, and the maintenance team to drive improvement initiatives that align with evolving engineering and production demands.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the team by implementing effective methodologies to ensure the facility is recognized as a leader in the industry. The following attributes are highly desirable:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate engineering initiatives to support production strategies, providing technical assistance to production teams daily.
  • Develop and execute strategies that ensure the team operates efficiently, utilizing tools such as Dynamic Control Planning, feasibility studies, and project tracking.
  • Collaborate with management and training departments to address the training needs of the engineering team.
  • Organize team activities to optimize workload and meet daily objectives while considering long-term goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and mentor teams to maintain safety, quality, and delivery standards during daily operations and projects.
  • Actively participate in resolving quality or production issues using systematic problem-solving techniques.
  • Oversee project planning and execution for shutdowns and other initiatives.

Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Leader, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing improvements in production processes.
  • Planning and executing forward-looking initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Supporting the Energizer Production System initiatives.
  • Providing hands-on engineering support to the team.
  • Performing additional related duties as required.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should ideally possess or be pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field, along with the following skills:

  • Leadership and team development capabilities.
  • High motivation, initiative, and creativity.
  • Flexibility to adapt to frequent changes.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as Six Sigma and FMEA.
  • Strong prioritization and workload management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and presentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of Policy Deployment and performance measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills, with knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with CAD software is advantageous.
