Position Overview

The selected candidate will provide engineering support to the manufacturing operations at Energizer's facility. This role involves close collaboration with the Engineering and Maintenance leader, Production Supervisors, and the maintenance team to spearhead and manage improvement initiatives in response to evolving engineering and production demands.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in nurturing and developing the team by introducing and implementing effective methodologies that will position the facility as a leader in the industry. The following attributes are highly desirable:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate engineering initiatives aligned with production strategies, providing technical assistance to production teams on a daily basis.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the team operates efficiently using tools such as Dynamic Control Planning, feasibility studies, and project tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with management and training departments to create effective training plans for the engineering team.
  • Organize team and individual tasks to optimize workload and achieve daily and long-term objectives, including budgetary goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and mentor teams to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and delivery standards during daily operations and projects.
  • Actively participate in investigating quality or production issues using systematic problem-solving techniques to ensure resolution and prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee project planning and execution for shutdown activities.

Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Leader, the key responsibilities will include leading and supporting:

  • Improvement initiatives
  • Forward planning and launch activities
  • Compliance with quality standards
  • Implementation of production systems
  • Providing hands-on engineering support
  • Additional related duties as required

Desired Qualifications

Candidates should ideally possess or be pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field, along with the following skills and attributes:

  • Familiarity with quality tools such as Six Sigma and FMEA
  • Strong prioritization and workload management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with CAD software is preferred
