Job Description

Credit Controller - A Key Role in Our Finance Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Credit Controller to join our Finance Department at Culina Group. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's cash flow by accurately and efficiently controlling incoming accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management: Help control 4 main Sales Ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer payments.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Collaborate with the Credit Manager to forecast cash flow and identify potential issues.
  • Credit Checks: Conduct credit checks on potential new business using the agreed credit check form.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Regularly monitor credit limits and credit insurance to ensure compliance.
  • Payment Allocation: Allocate all incoming payments to customer accounts within agreed timescales.
  • Invoice Management: Raise invoices for intercompany recharges and ensure timely payment.
  • Month-End Processes: Contribute to month-end processes, including reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Debt Collection: Run dunning letters on overdue debt and participate in individual Business Sector debt meetings.
  • Customer Communication: Generate monthly account statements for business customers and Account Managers, and follow up with contacts to pursue payment.
  • Query Resolution: Resolve customer account queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the department, including data entry and record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • Previous Credit Control Experience: Proven experience in credit control, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft systems, including Excel and Word, and experience with an accounting package such as SAP.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
