Locum Consultant Hepatologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Hepatologist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Gastroenterology and Hepatology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing specialist hepatology services to patients, including out-of-hours emergency endoscopy and weekend cover for Gastroenterology and Hepatology patients.
- Participating in a rota for in-patient care during weekdays.
- Working collaboratively with other Hepatology Consultants, specialist nurses, and specialty registrars to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Contributing to the development of our services, including clinical governance, research, and teaching.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise.
- MRCP or equivalent.
- Broad training and experience in Gastroenterology and General Medicine.
- JAG accreditation or equivalent in diagnostic upper and lower GI endoscopy.
- 12 month Hepatology ATP post (with minimum 3 month experience in a liver transplant centre).
