We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Hepatologist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Gastroenterology and Hepatology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist hepatology services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of liver diseases.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical students to ensure their professional development and growth.

Requirements
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in gastroenterology and general medicine, with a strong focus on hepatology.
