Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Tottenham, Haringey. As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, promoting social skills and confidence building.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that pupils with SEN receive tailored support.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN support.
Requirements
  • Desirable experience working with children with SEN, although not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the school.
