About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and flexible individual to join our team as a Flexible Skilled Operator. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our production processes, working closely with our press crews and other team members to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment and manual handling procedures.
  • Perform pre and post-run checks on equipment and report any faults or defects to the relevant team members.
  • Load and unload vehicles correctly, ensuring the safe transportation of goods.
  • Assist in the transportation of printing plates and provide support to the press crews as needed.
  • Report any health and safety concerns to the relevant team members or the Newsprinters Help-desk.
  • Follow safe systems of working and maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Liaise with team members and other staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to integrate with our existing team members.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Excellent team working skills and ability to integrate with both Aktrion and Newsprinters employees
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts and move between areas as needed
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and self-motivated
  • PC skills
